Heavy truck traffic at border crossings with Türkiye

Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo border crossings for outbound trucks heading to Türkiye, the Border Police reports. Traffic is normal at all other border crossings and checkpoints between Bulgaria and Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania.

On the Hemus Motorway, the Sofia-bound carriageway between kilometers 350 and 363 remains closed, with traffic traveling in both directions along the Varna-bound carriageway. The same traffic arrangement is in place between Ignatievo and Letishte interchange.

On the Maritsa Motorway, traffic toward Kapitan Andreevo is restricted to one lane at three consecutive sections between kilometers 109 and 111. The restrictions are due to repairs to damaged expansion joints on agricultural underpasses and a bridge structure. The speed limit is 50 km/h.
