The government will not cancel the cooperation agreement between Bulgaria and Ukraine signed in Kyiv on March 30 by caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Prime Minister Rumen Radev made this clear in response to a question from the Vazrazhdane party during parliamentary question time.
“I have never said that I would suspend the agreement that caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov concluded with Ukraine. I said it was an irrational and poor decision,” Radev said.
According to the prime minister, the document provides only for exploring possible forms of support and does not commit Bulgaria to any specific action. Radev rejected claims that he had promised to terminate the agreement, BNR reporter Daniel Inkov said.
