Bulgaria backs Kyoto Vision for a Golden Age of Science

Bulgaria has joined 16 other countries in backing the Kyoto Vision for a Golden Age of Science at the international Science and Technology in Society forum in the Japanese city, the Ministry of Education and Science said.

The initiative places particular emphasis on the responsible use of artificial intelligence in scientific research and on giving scientists access to modern tools, research data, computing resources and experimental facilities.

Other priorities include supporting the next generation of scientists through assistance for early-career researchers and practical training.

“Supporting the Kyoto Vision is in line with Bulgaria’s efforts to modernise its national research system, develop scientific infrastructure, support young scientists and use artificial intelligence and digital technologies to improve the quality of research,” the ministry said.
