During the meeting Prime Minister Radev and Marta Kos agreed that connectivity in the Balkans is a key priority not only for the countries in the region but also for the European Commission, which provides financial support for a number of projects in this area. They highlighted the importance of accelerating the construction of the corridor and the expansion of transport, energy and digital networks, which are a key factor in the development of Southeastern Europe.
On October 10, Marta Kos will attend the opening of the high-speed railway line in Türkiye running from Çerkezköy to the Bulgarian border at the Kapıkule border crossing, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported. Construction began in 2019, and the project is co-financed by Türkiye and the European Union.
