Heavy traffic for outbound trucks at Kapitan Andreevo border crossing

Traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing for outbound trucks heading to Türkiye, the Border Police reported. Traffic is normal at the border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania.

Repairs to the expansion joints on a bridge along the road from Kardzhali to the Makaza border crossing with Greece will begin on October 9. Due to the repair work near the village of Varben, traffic over the Varbitsa River will be restricted to a single lane, with vehicles moving in both directions.

On the Maritsa Motorway, traffic in the left lane towards Sofia is restricted between kilometres 66 and 67 in Haskovo Region due to a damaged expansion joint on a bridge over the Harmanliyska River, the Road Infrastructure Agency reported.
