Warm October weekend ahead, with temperatures reaching 30°C

On Saturday, minimum temperatures will range from 10°C to 15°C, with 11°C expected in Sofia. Visibility will be reduced in some lowland areas in the morning. The day will be mostly sunny, with more cloud over Western Bulgaria and occasional showers, mainly in the mountains and surrounding areas. Thunderstorms are also possible. Winds will be mostly light, becoming moderate in places around midday. Daytime highs will reach 25°C to 30°C, with around 26°C in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be sunny, with highs of 23°C to 26°C. Sea water temperatures will be 19°C to 20°C, with waves of 2 to 3 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, sunshine will prevail, although cloud will increase over the western ranges in the afternoon, bringing rain in places. Moderate south-southwesterly winds are expected. Temperatures will reach around 21°C at 1,200 metres and 14°C at 2,000 metres.

On Sunday, winds will strengthen in Eastern Bulgaria. Daytime temperatures will fall slightly, with a more noticeable drop in the west than in the east.
