Intense rain warning issues for 24 regions of Bulgaria for Tuesday

On Tuesday, minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will range from 7°C to 12°C, with 9°C expected in Sofia in the morning. The weather will remain cloudy and rainy throughout the day. Rainfall will be temporarily heavy and substantial in places across Central and Eastern Bulgaria, while showers will ease and stop in the southwestern regions.

Daytime temperatures will be with highs of 10°C to 15°C and around 11°C in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will be cloudy, rainy and windy. Rainfall totals will be significant in places during the afternoon. Moderate northerly winds will blow, becoming temporarily strong. Maximum temperatures will range from 15°C to 17°C.

In the mountains, the weather will be cloudy and windy, with rain. Above approximately 1,700 metres, precipitation will fall as snow. Heavy rainfall is expected in the Central Balkan range, the Rhodope Mountains, Strandzha and Sakar. Temperatures will reach around 6°C at an altitude of 1,200 metres and around 1°C at 2,000 metres.

On Wednesday, skies will remain mostly cloudy across much of the country, with rain persisting in places in Southern and Eastern Bulgaria. However, showers will be lighter and gradually come to an end. Temperatures will remain cool for mid-October, with highs of 11°C to 16°C.
