A retrospective exhibition entitled Points of Intersection at the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) will bring together two prominent figures in Bulgarian culture: poet and playwright Stefan Tsanev and actress Doroteya Toncheva.

Created to mark their milestone birthdays, the exhibition opens on October 14 and weaves together two distinct artistic biographies that have unfolded in parallel for decades, intersecting along the way and leaving a lasting mark on the history of Bulgarian theatre and cinema.

Through photographs, archival materials and texts, Points of Intersection traces their creative journeys from the 1960s to the present day. Arranged chronologically, the exhibition revisits landmark moments in Bulgarian theatre and cinema, featuring works such as Taste of Almonds, Black Angels, Socrates’ Last Night and God’s Violinist. These works reveal some of the most compelling points of intersection between their personal lives and professional careers.

The exhibition was initiated by the Via Pontica International Festival of Young Arts and was first presented in Balchik.
