Architects from around the world gather in Sofia for INTERARCH 2026

The international forum INTERARCH 2026 brings together leading figures in global architecture in Sofia from today until October 17, seeking to develop a vision for a world in transition.

The programme includes two thematic panels and an international roundtable dedicated to the role of architectural competitions in improving the quality of the urban environment. The first panel will examine European policies on the built environment and the provision of affordable housing, while the second will focus on urban planning, innovative approaches to city management, and the protection of human health.

''A final declaration will also be adopted, highlighting the need for a new philosophy of architectural and urban development of European cities, as the world is changing rapidly and we must respond to these changes appropriately'', architect Petar Dikov said.
