Four Bulgarian films will premiere at CineLibri. The drama She Who Remains, a Bulgarian-Italian-Albanian co-production based on the novel of the same name by Rene Karabash, takes viewers to a mountain village in Albania. It explores what it means to be a woman in a world shaped by violence, feuds, male dominance and harsh social relations rooted in ancient patriarchal traditions.

The second film in the competition programme is the black comedy Taxi to Paradise, based on Night Vigil, a novella by acclaimed Austrian writer of Bulgarian origin Dimitré Dinev.

Two more Bulgarian films will be screened at the festival: Axis of Life, a Bulgarian-Hungarian production telling the story of a spiritual teacher who must choose one of his three disciples as his successor, and Hannah at the Age of Seven and a Half, a comedy aimed at young audiences.
