Three films with Bulgarian involvement have been shortlisted for the 2027 European Film Awards, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported.

The selected titles are Black Money for White Nights, a Greek-Bulgarian co-production directed by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov; Brace Your Heart, directed by Amanda Kernell and co-produced by Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria and Iceland; and The Dreamed Adventure, directed by Valeska Grisebach, a co-production between Germany, France, Bulgaria and Austria.

The board of the European Film Academy (EFA) selected 68 feature films from 40 countries for this year’s shortlist. Over the coming weeks, the EFA’s 5,700 members will watch the selected films and vote on the final nominations.

The European Film Awards will be held in Athens on January 16, 2027.
