More than 45 speakers and panellists will discuss creativity in the age of artificial intelligence today at the fourth edition of the international CreaTech Summit South-East Europe in Sofia. The programme features presentations, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, technology demonstrations, virtual reality and immersive experiences, as well as a competition for young filmmakers.
“We want visitors to discover new ideas, see how technologies are used in practice and meet people with whom they can create their next project,” says Genoveva Hristova, chair of CreaTech Bulgaria.
One of the highlights will be a look at the organisation of the Eurovision Song Contest and the opportunities such events create for the cultural and creative industries. A discussion is also planned on the impact of major cultural events on tourism, the economy and urban development.
The immersive programme includes a virtual reality experience showcasing Bulgaria’s Antarctic base on Livingston Island. Created by Yordan Mihaylovski, the project is a digital twin of the base, allowing visitors to explore the facility using VR technology.
The virtual influencer Ahinora, created by Bulgarian digital agency BG Content, will also take part in the official opening ceremony.
