Acclaimed Australian author and Booker Prize winner Richard Flanagan will meet readers in Sofia as part of the international film and literature festival CineLibri.

On 21 October, Flanagan will discuss his work at the Peroto Literary Club in the National Palace of Culture, where the Bulgarian edition of his book Question 7 will also be launched.

The Guardian has described the book as Flanagan's finest work, a brilliant reflection on one man's past and the history that has shaped his entire life, BTA reported. The Bulgarian edition was translated by Nadezhda Rozova, with cover art by Zhivko Petrov.

Born in Tasmania in 1961, Flanagan is a novelist, historian and film director. He left school at 16 but later won a scholarship to Worcester College, Oxford University. His books have been published in around 40 countries, and several of his novels have received major literary awards.
