Heavy traffic for outbound trucks at Lesovo border crossing

Traffic at the Lesovo border crossing with Türkiye is extremely heavy for trucks exiting Bulgaria. Traffic is normal at all other border checkpoints along the country’s borders with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania.

Temporary traffic arrangements will be introduced at the Ruse–Giurgiu border crossing, Border Police said. From October 26 to 29, during daytime hours, traffic across the bridge will be restricted to one lane due to repairs to the drainage systems. Vehicles will be allowed to pass in both directions at 20-minute intervals.

Traffic for heavy goods vehicles weighing more than 12 tonnes through the Topli Dol Tunnel on the Hemus Motorway will be restricted on Friday, Sunday and Monday. Drivers will be directed to alternative routes via the Petrohan Pass and the Iskar Gorge.
