Traffic at border crossings and checkpoints with neighbouring countries is normal, the Border Police reported. At the border with Romania, traffic is normal at all crossing points. However, ferry services operating at the Oryahovo–Bechet and Svishtov–Zimnicea crossings have been temporarily suspended due to the low water level of the Danube River.
Until October 29 traffic on the Danube Bridge at Ruse–Giurgiu will be restricted to one lane between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. because of repairs to the bridge’s drainage facilities.
Over the past 24 hours, 15 serious road accidents have occurred in Bulgaria, leaving 16 people injured.
