Voting abroad in the second round of the presidential and vice-presidential elections began last night at 8:00 p.m. Bulgarian time, with the opening of the polling station in Auckland, New Zealand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The last Bulgarian citizens to cast their votes will be those on the U.S. West Coast, where election day will end on Monday at 6:00 a.m. Bulgarians living abroad will vote in 60 countries.
All polling stations across Europe have been secured and are ready for election day.
Bulgarian citizens abroad can check the address of their designated polling stations in advance on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, under the “Elections” section. In some locations, polling station addresses have changed between the first and second rounds for organizational and logistical reasons.
