Cloudy weather to mark the start of the working week as rain eases

Cloudy weather and rainfall will persist overnight and tomorrow, with significant amounts of rain expected in many areas, particularly in eastern Bulgaria. During the day, rain in the southern parts of the country will temporarily ease.

Winds will be light, becoming moderate from the east-northeast in the Danube Plain and eastern Bulgaria. Minimum temperatures will range between 7°C and 12°C, slightly higher along the Black Sea coast. Daytime highs will be between 9°C and 14°C, reaching 17–18°C in southeastern Bulgaria and along the coast, in Sofia around 9–10°C.

Mountain areas will also see cloudy skies and rainfall, turning to snow above 1,800–2,000 metres. Moderate to strong southeasterly winds are expected. Maximum temperatures will reach around 8°C at an altitude of 1,200 metres and around 2°C at 2,000 metres.

Along the Black Sea coast, skies will be cloudy with rain. Significant rainfall is expected along the central and northern coastline. Moderate easterly winds will blow. Maximum temperatures will range from 16°C to 18°C. The seawater temperature is 16°C-17°C. Sea state 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale.
