European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Varna on Tuesday, 10 November, where she is due to meet Prime Minister Rumen Radev and visit the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. The announcement was made by a Commission spokesperson at a press briefing presenting von der Leyen’s weekly agenda, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported.
According to the spokesperson, von der Leyen will be on a mission to the Black Sea region. Her programme will begin on Monday with a visit to Bucharest, where she will hold talks with Romanian President Nicușor Dan and Prime Minister Luca Niculescu.
On Wednesday, von der Leyen will attend a United Nations climate change conference in Turkey.
