Unique finds from the end of the 2nd and the beginning of the 3rd century AD will soon become part of the exhibition of the Museum of Mosaics in Devnia, which is among the most visited attractions in the region. The exhibits that will be arranged in the new showcase include a vessel in which fragrant oils were stored, a bronze oinochoe jug, a bronze patera - a cooking utensil that is very reminiscent of modern frying pans, etc.

The exhibition will also display the bronze decorations in the shape of small bear and lion heads that were part of a folding iron chair, which is unfortunately too eroded to be restored.
The new exhibits of the Museum of Mosaics were discovered in an unlooted brick tomb in the city of Devnya back in 1993, "The tomb is from the Roman period of Marcianopolis, but the burial is of a Thracian type, with cremation," the director of the Museum of Mosaics, Ivan Sutev says. Until now, however, these finds were stored in the museum's fund due to lack of funds for their full restoration.

In 2022, the museum and the Municipality of Devnya won project financing from the Ministry of Culture, thanks to which the restoration and all activities related to the creation of the showcase and the display of the artifacts were financed.
