Iliana Iotova: The new draft budget – without a hint of necessary reforms

The vote of no confidence, which is about to be discussed and voted on this week, is different than the previous ones because it has the support of the vast majority of citizens, Vice President Iliana Iotova has told journalists. She participated in the opening of a public discussion on the topic “Bulgaria and the new European budget 2028-2034: goals and opportunities”.

Regarding the new draft state budget for next year, Iliana Iotova expressed concerns that one accounting table would be replaced by another without any hint of policies and reforms that are needed for the country.

"Dialogue is possible and there could have been a completely different attitude towards all partners and towards Bulgarian society. I would advise them to focus on verbal communication next time," the vice president also said.
