National Assembly Speaker Raya Nazaryan will not accept the post of caretaker prime minister, the deputy chair of the GERB–SDS parliamentary group, Denitsa Sacheva, said in an interview with bTV. According to the MP, a caretaker prime minister should be a person who is not affiliated with political parties.

“The government was formed to stop the spiral of elections, because that was extremely important. In five years, Bulgaria held seven elections, for which we as a society spent one billion leva—the amount we are now looking for to raise incomes”, Denitsa Sacheva said. In her words, during that period there has been no significant development in any system; instead, all systems have stalled because they have operated under conditions of constant instability.
In her view, people so far are saying that they will not give any political party a full majority, which is a sign of the need for a coalition government.
