Bulgaria's National Assembly has been absolutely illegitimate from the very beginning. This was stated by Ivelin Mihaylov, leader of the smallest parliamentary group, Velichie, during the latest political consultations with the president following the resignation of the government.

BSP believes the parliament has become illegitimate due to party selfishness

Mihaylov recalled that a number of manipulations had been identified during the electoral process. According to him, video surveillance during elections must be taken seriously, and accountability should be sought from those who manipulate the vote.

President Rumen Radev announced that he will hand over the first exploratory mandate to form a government after the New Year. The head of state said that during the consultations there was a shared view that trust in the 51st National Assembly has been exhausted, dialogue between political forces has broken down, and early parliamentary elections are taking shape.
