Patriarch Daniil arrives in Istanbul for meeting with the Ecumenical Patriarch

Patriarch Daniil has arrived in Istanbul for his first visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, BTA reports. He is accompanied by metropolitans and Bishop Gerasim of Melnik, General Secretary of the Holy Synod. The Bulgarian Patriarch is in the Turkish city at the invitation of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and his visit will last until December 28. Today he will visit the church “St. George the Victorious”, where a prayer service will be served. After that, the Bulgarian Patriarch will be officially welcomed by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and by the members of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
