Dozens of Bulgarians who live and work in the United Kingdom filled the Bulgarian Orthodox Church “Saint Ivan Rilski” in London on Christmas Day. Many of them attended the festive liturgy together with their families, reports BG Ben, the only Bulgarian newspaper in England.
The Bulgarian church was filled with smiles, faith, and hope for better days. After the liturgy, which was officiated by Father Dobromir, the emotions took on a truly festive spirit with a ceremonial concert by the children who attend the church’s Sunday school. Santa Claus also arrived at the church especially for the children.
Bulgarians in the United Kingdom often blend Bulgarian traditions with British ones, adds BNR’s correspondent in the UK, Veselin Paunov, in his report.
