Christine Lagarde marks one week since Bulgaria’s accession to the eurozone

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde posted a message on social media noting that one week has passed since Bulgaria’s accession to the eurozone.

“One week since Bulgaria joined the euro!”, Christine Lagarde wrote. ''The country’s euro coins also entered circulation on 1 January, including the €1 coin which features Ivan of Rila, the patron saint of Bulgaria'', wrote Christine Lagarde. The €2 coin features Saint Paisius of Hilendar who is presented as a key figure of the Bulgarian National Revival and author of the Slavo Bulgarian History.
