As part of her consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups in the 51st National Assembly on the appointment of a caretaker prime minister, President Iliana Yotova today first met with APS and then with representatives of MECH party.

“The only possible candidacy is that of the Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank, Andrey Gyurov, because only he can emancipate himself from the Peevski and Borissov model,” said Radostin Vassilev, chairman of “Morality, Unity, Honor.”

APS wants Andrey Gyurov as acting PM and veto over number of sections abroad

After that, MECH party leader stated that, for them, the consultations were meaningless. According to Vassilev, after President Rumen Radev submitted his resignation, Iliana Yotova, as vice president, should have done the same, since in the eyes of society it appeared that “Radev used the presidency to create a party, and Iliyana Yotova used the presidential post for her future campaign” after the expiration of her current mandate, which she assumed from Radev. Following these accusations, the party left the consultations.
