The Folk Song Ensemble of the Bulgarian Radio and Television was founded in 1952. In 1990, it split into two independent ensembles - the Folk Music Orchestra of the BNR and a choir that moved to the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) and became internationally known as “The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices”.
