Caretaker Premier-designate Andrey Gyurov presented his cabinet lineup, prompting political reactions.
According to Kostadin Angelov from GERB-SDS, the idea behind the cabinet is to favor certain newly formed political groups and help them win the elections.
''I don’t see any bright political figures in the proposed caretaker cabinet, but an attempt for each minister to understand the work for which they are appointed'', said Nikolay Denkov from We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB).
''The caretaker government is a mix of We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB), the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (APS), and GERB activists, and a serious political Frankenstein. If this is intended as a post-election governing mix, God save Bulgaria'', commented Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov.
Iskra Mihaylova from ''DPS – New Beginning'' stated that the caretaker cabinet could be called ''Soros-Petrohan''. ''In the cabinet’s composition, we see people directly connected to the ‘Petrohan’ affair'', Iskra Mihaylova said.
''The assemblage removed the presidential institution from forming the caretaker government, and we see the result today — a caretaker cabinet with clearly partisan and politically engaged figures'', former President Rumen Radev wrote on Facebook.
''Following
the latest constitutional amendments, the president cannot be held responsible
for this cabinet. The changes to the Constitution established that the National
Assembly will act continuously to oversee the activities of the caretaker
government'', commented Bulgarian Socialist Party Chairman Krum Zarkov.
