1,092 Bulgarian tourists are currently in countries in the Middle East

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on its official website that it continues to prioritize efforts to evacuate Bulgarian citizens who are currently unable to return to Bulgaria from countries in the Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Bulgarian citizens affected by the suspension of flights through airports in the Middle East, but who are outside areas of active military operations, to stay in contact with their airlines to arrange alternative routes via third destinations for their return to Bulgaria.

The Ministry of Tourism announced that it is maintaining constant contact with tour operators operating in the Middle East, as well as with Bulgarian diplomatic and consular representations on site.

The total number of Bulgarian citizens in the region is 1,092.
