Defense Minister Zapryanov calls for Security Council meeting

This morning’s events have fundamentally changed our assessment of the US and Israel’s military operation against Iran. The ballistic missiles launched from Iranian territory toward Türkiye, as well as the recent provocation with missiles fired at Cyprus a few days ago, have completely altered our evaluations, said caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov following a meeting of the caretaker government.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense will conduct an analysis of the risks and threats stemming from the conflict, which has now extended beyond the three countries involved. Based on this analysis, the necessary measures will be outlined. “I have proposed to the Prime Minister that an urgent Security Council meeting be convened based on these assessments to decide on the appropriate state measures”, Atanas Zapryanov added.
