After the first week of the election campaign, five formations are certain to enter the next parliament and one is on the threshold, said Boryana Dimitrova from the Alpha Research agency for the Bulgarian National Radio. She presented data from a nationally representative survey of the adult population, commissioned by BNR. The survey was conducted among 1,000 respondents between March 19 and 26, 2026, through standardized interviews using tablets in respondents’ homes. According to the poll, no formation is expected to secure a majority in the new National Assembly.

Among those firmly decided to vote, 30.8% would support Progressive Bulgaria. GERB-SDS are second with 21.2%. We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria are third with 11.1%, followed by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) with 9.8% and Vazrazhdane with 6.9%.

According to Alpha Research, below the 4% threshold for entering parliament are BSP–United Left with 3.9%, and MECH with 3% support. 55.8% of respondents intend to vote, which is about 3 million people.

The data is based on a representative survey of the country’s adult population conducted by the Alpha Research agency, commissioned by BNR.
