Minister of Justice, Andrey Yankulov, proposed to the Prosecutors
College of the Supreme Judicial Council that a disciplinary dismissal
should be imposed against Borislav Sarafov - de facto acting
Prosecutor General of Bulgaria, over violations committed by him. The
arguments are "a series of written statements involving the
Prosecutor's Office, which have led to the deterioration of the
prestige of the judiciary".
It is pointed out that despite the claims
that evidence of a crime committed by the temporarily suspended
Bulgarian European Prosecutor Teodora Georgieva has been discovered,
she has not yet been brought as a defendant. Among other examples is
Sarafov's statement, in which he compared the Petrohan case with the series "Twin Peaks", reporter
Silvia Velikova informed.
