Karlos Nasar wins Europe Weightlifter of the Year Award for the second time

The Olympic, world and European weightlifting champion Karlos Nasar won the Europe Weightlifter of the Year Award for the second time. The award is presented by the European Weightlifting Federation and the International Sports Press Association. He received the award at a ceremony in Batumi, which is hosting the 2026 European Weightlifting Championships.
Karlos Nasar earned the award for his performance in 2025, when he became European champion in Chișinău (Moldova) and world champion in Førde (Norway).
The 21-year-old Bulgarian weightlifter first won the Europe Weightlifter of the Year Award in 2024, when he claimed the Olympic gold in Paris and became both world and European champion.
