The existence of a well-developed and interconnected gas infrastructure, which allows for flexibility and independent transmission routes, is a key tool for addressing challenges related to sudden crises and disruptions in supply chains, Bulgartransgaz CEO Vladimir Malinov said at 7th Budapest LNG Summit, the company announced.
“The crisis in the Middle East further confirms the relevance of the Vertical Corridor projects that Bulgartransgaz is working on and plans to commission by the end of the year”, Vladimir Malinov emphasized. He also highlighted the need for a decision by the end of 2026 on the construction of at least one more liquefied natural gas terminal in Greece, particularly in light of the EU's decision to phase out gas imports from Russia.
