Health Minister Ivkova focuses on healthcare staffing

Healthcare professionals are the most valuable resource in the healthcare system and the key support to patients, Minister of Health Katya Ivkova said at the opening of the national conference entitled “Healthcare in the 21st Century – Modern Aspects and Challenges”, BTA reported.

Minister Ivkova said she will place a strong focus on ensuring sufficient staffing of healthcare professionals and will rely on constructive dialogue and proposals for sustainable solutions.

In her address to healthcare specialists, Minister Ivkova highlighted the importance of attracting young professionals so that in 20–30 years the healthcare system will be supported by all structures within it.

The forum is organized by the Bulgarian Association of Healthcare Professionals and its regional branch in Sofia.
