Minister Rumen Radev has held a meeting in the Council of Ministers
with Arthur Milikh, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for
European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of
State, who is visiting Bulgaria.
The
meeting discussed topics from the strategic partnership between
Bulgaria and the US, the security and socio-economic challenges
arising from the military actions in Ukraine and the Middle East, and
approaches to addressing them, the press center of the Council of
Ministers informed.
A
few days ago, the Bulgarian Prime Minister announced that he had held
a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump and that he
expected the US to request an extension of the stay of US military
aircraft at Vasil Levski Airport in Sofia. In the conversation, Radev
insisted on a quick consideration of the issue of lifting US visas
for Bulgarian citizens.
