Bulgaria did not notify partner countries of its decision to halt military aid to Ukraine because it was under no obligation to do so, Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov said on Wednesday.
Responding to a parliamentary question, Stoyanov said Bulgaria had exhausted its capacity to provide further military assistance to Ukraine. "There is nothing more we can give," he said.
The minister said no request for weapons or military equipment had been received from Ukraine's Ministry of Defence since May 8. Stoyanov added that he had planned to submit a report to parliament detailing the military assistance provided so far. According to him, stockpiles have already fallen below minimum reserve levels, the BTA news agency reported.

Asked whether Bulgaria's partners had been informed of the decision to end military aid, Stoyanov said no notification had been sent because there was no such commitment.
