The U.S. military tanker aircraft currently stationed at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport will leave Bulgaria by the end of June.
Prime Minister Rumen Radev announced at the beginning of the government's regular weekly meeting that the Bulgarian authorities remain in regular dialogue with their American counterparts on the matter.

He emphasized that the United States continues to be Bulgaria's strategic ally in the field of security and a key partner in energy, the economy, high technologies and artificial intelligence. The government, he said, will continue working to deepen this partnership.
On May 29, the Bulgarian government extended the stay of the U.S. military aircraft in the country until June 30, 2026.
