Bulgarian students win five medals at International Economics Olympiad in China

Bulgaria's national economics high-school team won five individual medals at the International Economics Olympiad in Shenzhen, China, the Ministry of Education and Science has announced.
All Bulgarian high school students who took part in International Mathematics Olympiad won medals
Students from 56 countries took part in the competition. Bulgaria ranked an impressive 13th in the overall team standings, with Switzerland the only European team to finish ahead of the Bulgarian delegation.
All five Bulgarian contestants returned home with medals. Silver medals were awarded to Sara Ilieva, a 12th-grade student at the National High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Sofia, and David Livshits, an 11th-grade student at the Sofia High School of Mathematics.
Bronze medals went to Hristo Koev, a 12th-grade student at the Mathematics High School in Yambol, Ivelin Neev, a 12th-grade student at the Sofia High School of Mathematics, and Alex Georgiev, also a 12th-grade student at the Sofia High School of Mathematics.
