Meeting with books and their readers makes reading an important part of the summer life of Varna. From July 31 to August 9, 2026, the pedestrian zone in the heart of the city turns into an open literary stage with the Sea of Books ("More ot knigi") festival. The Bulgarian Book Association informs that over 70 Bulgarian publishing houses, literary premieres and meetings with authors await the residents and guests of Varna on Knyaz Boris I Blvd. Visitors will be able to discover the latest titles on the Bulgarian book market, get acquainted with the catalogues of the participating publishing houses and meet writers and translators in person.
