Police seizes jeep, weapons, equipment related to GPS jammer case in Sofia

Active work continues on the case of the powerful GPS jamming equipment discovered in Sofia, the Ministry of Interior informs.

The announcement makes it clear that officers of the Sofia Directorate of Interior have seized a jeep equipped with elements of a professional signal jamming system, which is related to the investigation of the case of the GPS jammer found in Sofia's Dragalevtsi district. The ownership of the vehicle is related to the owners of the properties - the subject of inspection, in the capital district.

In addition, during six searches at different addresses, technical and recording devices, computers, weapons and ammunition were seized. Numerous witnesses were questioned. Expertise tests have also been ordered, the results of which are to be analyzed and included in the investigation materials.

Earlier, Prime Minister Rumen Radev announced that the jammer had been installed on a jeep, and that its owner was clear.

A pre-trial investigation has been reported to the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office, initiated for a crime under the Criminal Code.
