“They first conducted an inspection using a drone to check the condition of the aircraft. They determined that there was no danger of an explosion, after which they took the drone out of the water following the established procedure”, said Veselin Anestiev, Deputy Regional Governor of Burgas. According to him, the aircraft was found to be in unusually good condition. “This is the first time I’ve seen a drone preserved so well. Its fuselage was intact—it wasn’t broken into pieces, as is usually the case with drones that are found”, he said.
The unmanned aircraft will undergo further examination to determine its model, origin and the circumstances under which it ended up in the sea. So far, military personnel have established that it is an electric reconnaissance drone that does not pose a danger. The unmanned aircraft has been transported to the naval base.
Meanwhile, parts of two drones were found on Varna’s Kabakum and Pasha Dere beaches, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior-Varna reported. According to the Ministry of Defence, the drone part found at Kabakum did not contain any explosives.
