At
a student awards ceremony in Sofia, Prime Minister Rumen Radev
declined to comment on media reports claiming that Russian military personnel had been
trained near Gabrovo, which he dismissed as
speculations, BTA reports. Citing British media, the
opposition "Democratic Bulgaria" party called for a
parliamentary hearing with intelligence agency chiefs regarding
allegations that a private company had trained Russian military
personnel in the country. Dimitar Drumchev, director of "Alfa-Metal,"
told media that the company trains Ukrainians who speak Russian.
Condemning
the burial of Ratko Mladić with military honors is a pan-European
position, Radev told journalists in response to a question from
BGNES.
The
Prime Minister also rejected opposition claims regarding political
interference by the ruling authorities in the operations of the
Bulgarian National Television (BNT). Radev pointed out that any new
BNT management team has the right to reorganize the public
broadcaster's programming.
