DARA and “Bangaranga” enter the race for 2027 Grammy Awards

Bulgarian singer DARA is continuing her international rise following her victory at Eurovision 2026. Her winning song “Bangaranga” has been submitted for consideration in four categories at the 2027 Grammy Awards: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best New Artist, The Grammy Guru reports, as cited by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).

This marks the first step towards a possible Grammy nomination, but the final decision will become clear once the Recording Academy announces its official list.

DARA’s victory at the Eurovision Song Contest set a record for the largest points margin between the winner and the runner-up in the contest’s history. Following her Eurovision triumph, “Bangaranga” reached No. 90 on the Billboard Global 200, which tracks sales and streaming activity across more than 200 territories, and surpassed 60 million streams on Spotify.
