Freight trucks are not being allowed to cross on Serbian territory at all border checkpoints with Bulgaria, according to a statement from the General Directorate “Border Police.” Traffic for passenger cars and buses in both directions has not been suspended.

The statement cites information from the Serbian border authorities, according to which Serbian truck drivers are blocking freight terminals at border checkpoints toward Schengen countries. This is the reason why freight vehicles are not being allowed to pass on Serbian territory.

The passage of freight trucks has also been suspended at the border with the Republic of North Macedonia due to strike actions in the country. Passenger cars and buses are crossing without restrictions.
