Bozhidar Saraboyukov, Bulgaria's 2025 Athlete of the Year, won the men’s long jump event at the Diamond League meeting in Rome, Italy. The European indoor long jump champion secured victory with a superb final jump of 8.26 meters after being in third place before his last jump.

This was his first career win on the Diamond League circuit and Bulgaria's first-ever Diamond League victory in a men's event. Until now, the only Bulgarian athlete to win a Diamond League event was Ivet Lalova-Collio, who achieved the result in the women's sprint.
