Litasco and the Bulgarian government move toward out-of-court settlement

The first step has been taken toward reaching an out-of-court settlement with Litasco, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment and Industry Aleksandar Pulev announced at a briefing at the Council of Ministers.

The briefing followed a meeting between Prime Minister Rumen Radev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Galab Donev, Economy Minister Pulev, and representatives of Litasco SA, a member of the Lukoil Group and shareholder in Lukoil Neftochim Burgas and Lukoil Bulgaria, as well as representatives of Lukoil.

During the meeting, Litasco agreed to immediately lift its restriction preventing Lukoil Neftochim Burgas from trading crude oil supplied by companies registered in Switzerland.

The information was confirmed by Inna Dariy, Vice President of Lukoil International, who described the meeting as the first constructive one between the company and representatives of the Bulgarian government, according to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).
