Bulgaria now has two counter-drone systems

Two anti-drone systems have been delivered and will now be prepared for service, the Defence Ministry said for BTA. The next step is the process of familiarizing personnel with the systems and putting them into operation. They were purchased from the US company AXON. The Ministry of Defense added that two more anti-drone systems are expected to be delivered shortly.

Last week, Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov said that Bulgaria needed new systems for detecting and destroying unmanned aerial vehicles and that they should be purchased as quickly as possible. His comments followed a drone incursion into Bulgarian airspace on August 8.
