The European Central Bank (ECB) congratulated the newest member of the eurozone — Bulgaria — on the occasion of its national holiday, March 3.
“Happy Liberation Day, Bulgaria! To celebrate, we’re revisiting the initial steps of Bulgaria’s membership of the euro area, set to the sound of a certified banger”, the ECB said on Instagram.
The multimedia post is accompanied by the song DJ Take Me Away by Deep Zone Project. The ECB also asked its followers a question in the post: “Do you recognize any of the landmarks featured? Let us know in the comments.”
Bulgaria became the 21st member of the eurozone on January 1, and ECB President Christine Lagarde frequently uses social media to mark important dates related to the country’s accession.
