Sofia, Varna, Burgas, and Plovdiv remain in the race to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.

The Bulgarian National Television (BNT) will seek to shorten the host-city selection procedure so that a decision can be made as early as July, rather than August, which is the final deadline set by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Eurovision. This became clear following the first official meeting between BNT's management and representatives of the four candidate municipalities, BGNES reported.

To that end, the candidate cities must provide detailed information regarding their technical and logistical capacities, infrastructure, potential venues, cultural program, and accompanying events.
